Treatment Preservatives

Built to last.

ProWood treats our lumber with preservatives to protect it from rot, decay, and termite damage - and extending its lifespan. We use environmentally preferable wood preservatives that follow the latest AWPA (American Wood Protection Association) standards.

MCA

MCA (Micronized Copper Azole) is effective and reliable protectant against rot, fungal decay, and termites in Above Ground, Ground Contact, and Critical Structure applications.

Ecolife

Ecolife Stabilized Weather-Resistant Wood is an environmentally-advanced wood protection system that fights against sun and weather extremes and repels water in Above Ground applications.

CA-C

CA-C (Copper Azole Type C) offers long term protection from fungal decay and termite attack in Above Ground, Ground Contact, and Critical Structure applications.

Treated Lumber Applications

Ground Contact (UC4A)

ProWood Ground Contact is our most widely used, general purpose pressure-treated lumber. It can be used for above ground, on the ground, in the ground, and for freshwater application. Primary uses are areas that will experience frequent or prolonged moisture and for items critical to the integrity of the structure such as beams, joists, and stringers. Backed by a lifetime-limited warranty.

Above Ground (UC3B)

ProWood Above Ground is best suited for areas that are at least six inches above ground and are easily replaced or maintained, such as railings and balusters. Not suitable for deck joists or near ground uses. Backed by a lifetime-limited warranty.

Light Duty

ProWood Light Duty is not for structural uses and does not conform to AWPA/ESR standards. This can be used for split rail fencing, lattice and landscape timbers. It carries a 1-year limited warranty.

Critical Structure (UC4B)
